OneKloud selected as finalist in Red Herring North America Top 100

San Francisco, Calif —May 26, 2017. Today, OneKloud a technology company dedicated to cloud infrastructure budget organization though predictive technology, has been selected as one of 100 finalists in the renowned Red Herring North America Awards 2017. The Awards, with editions also held in Asia and Europe, are widely accepted as one of the more prestigious recognition for up-and-coming startups in technology or life sciences, with hundreds of candidates from competing for a spot in the top 100. The winner will be announced the evening of Wednesday, June 14 at the award ceremony, which will take place at the Marina Del Rey Marriott hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Founded in 2016, by French technophile entrepreneurs Eric Didier and Xavier Garcia, OneKloud leads the way in the disruption of cloud service procurement. Until now cloud infrastructure, like AWS, has been used by programmers like an “open bar” —no accountability, no control, and huge costs. Meaning many companies are disappointed with the cloud after getting a massive bill, because they failed to accurately predict or control usage and cost. OneKloud has designed the solution by organizing AWS spend in a project-based, hassle-free and sustainable way, in line with clients’ current org-chart and way of working, thus allowing companies to uncover and prevent wasted cloud resources.

Red Herring Top 100 America attracts the most outstanding entrepreneurs and promising companies each year. 100 finalists are selected from the thousands of privately financed companies in the US and Canada that enter into the competition. Since 1996, Red Herring has been uncovering winning startups. Red Herring editors were among the first to shine a light on companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, YouTube, Palo Alto Networks and eBay.

“Selecting finalists for this year’s Top 100 has proved more difficult than ever,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and chairman of Red Herring. “North America has been tech’s beating heart for years–but never have I seen such an exciting, disruptive and innovative generation as we have in 2017. OneKloud fully deserves its place among our finalists, and I’ve every confidence it will make a significant impact in the tech world,” added Vieux.

“Being selected as one of the top 100 in this early stage is both an honor and highly motivating,” says Eric Didier, CEO and co-founder, OneKloud. “We are grateful for this recognition, which inspires us to continue in our objective of helping the 50,000 US and Canadian companies dependant on AWS to take control of their cloud infrastructure budget and organization, and stop the unnecessary overspending that plagues our industry.”

OneKloud is radically different to other cloud cost analytics tools that offer visibility on AWS budget —after the money is spent. OneKloud is the only platform that completely prevents AWS overspend, before it happens. Using predictive analysis and a top-down budget management platform, working with OneKloud gives companies the power to predict future cloud infrastructure spend and align it with budget goals, making teams and individuals accountable.

The Red Herring 100 finalists are evaluated by Red Herring’s editorial staff on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technological innovation, intellectual property, the DNA of the founders, business model, customer footprint and addressable market. Each company’s track record is reviewed, as is the “buzz” in each relative industry. As the “cream of the crop”, the list of the final 100 is a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models in North America each year.
