OneKloud announced as winner of 2017 Red Herring Top 100 North America

LA, Calif., June 15, 2017 -- OneKloud has been named as the 2017 winner of the Red Herring Top 100 North America awards. OneKloud was selected by Red Herring as the winner of the Top 100 North America Award thanks to the company's innovative cloud-infrastructure budget platform that allows businesses to predict and control cloud spend. The announcement was made at a ceremony on the evening of Wednesday, June 14  at the Marina Del Rey Marriott hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Founded in 2016, by French technophile entrepreneurs Eric Didier and Xavier Garcia, OneKloud leads the way in the disruption of cloud service procurement. Until now cloud infrastructure, like AWS, has been used by programmers like an “open bar” —no accountability, no control, and huge costs. Meaning many companies are disappointed with the cloud after getting a massive bill, because they failed to accurately predict or control usage and cost. OneKloud has designed the solution by organizing AWS spend in a project-based, hassle-free and sustainable way, in line with clients’ current org-chart and way of working, thus allowing companies to uncover and prevent wasted cloud resources.

“We are grateful for this massive recognition. It’s an incredible validation of the impact we are making on companies who use cloud-infrastructure,” says Eric Didier, CEO and Co-Founder.  “Our objective is to help the 50,000 US and Canadian companies dependant on AWS to take control of their cloud infrastructure budget and organization, and stop the unnecessary overspending that plagues our industry, winning this award is a big milestone.”

“What a fantastic company moment!” continues co-founder Xavier Garcia. “Coming out on top of the 100 North America Red Herring is great honor for the company. I'm really proud of the work of our very international team. This is just the beginning of this big adventure,” he adds.

Red Herring Top 100 America attracts the most outstanding entrepreneurs and promising companies each year. 100 finalists are selected from the thousands of privately financed companies in the US and Canada that enter into the competition. Since 1996, Red Herring has been uncovering winning startups. Red Herring editors were among the first to shine a light on companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype,, YouTube, Palo Alto Networks and eBay.

“This is one of the most innovative and exciting groups of companies we’ve ever hosted at a Top 100 awards show,” says Alex Vieux, chairman of Red Herring. “2017 has proven to be another fine year for tech, which is now simply the economy rather than a small part of it. The fact that so many companies here are working at the bleeding edge of tech, goes to show just how fast this sector is moving,” he adds.

Red Herring's editorial staff evaluated companies on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technological innovation and intellectual property, DNA of the founders, business model, customer footprint and market penetration. This assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the track record and standing of startups relative to their sector peers, allowing Red Herring to see past the "buzz" and make the list a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models in North America.
