OneKloud announced winner of 2017 Red Herring Top 100 Global

San Francisco, Calif —November 16, 2017.  OneKloud a technology company dedicated to transparent, top-down cloud resource management has been named winner of the renowned Red Herring Top 100 Global 2017. The Awards, which bring together the top finalists and winners of the Europe, North America and Asia editions held earlier this year, are widely accepted as one of the more prestigious recognition for up-and-coming startups in technology or life sciences. The award ceremony took place last evening, November 15, 2017 in at The Langham Huntington hotel, California following two-days of presentations.

Founded in 2016, by French technophile entrepreneurs Eric Didier and Xavier Garcia, OneKloud came out on top in the US editions of the awards in June, 2017, securing a place as one of the 100 most promising startups in the US this year. This win preceded a successful one million dollar seed series, announced later that month, with the notable support of US venture capital firms, Birchmere Ventures who led the round, Benhamou Global Ventures (BGV) and Wharton Alumni Angels of Silicon Valley. A powerful debut for a company set on injecting accountability into enterprise cloud use and spending.

The OneKloud platform enables companies to manage cloud resources easily and transparently from the top down, to see what is being used by each organization, leader, manager, engineer and how that relates to projects. Now leaders can see what decisions their team members are making about cloud resources as they’re being made. Leaders can - easily and without technical knowledge - create rules around cloud spend to ensure the decisions that are made are aligned to the bigger budget and plan.

The Red Herring Top 100 Global awards push the regional winners even further, narrowing down the race to the 100 most promising startups in the world, thus  highlighting the most exciting startups from Asia, Europe and the Americas on the international stage. Since 1996, technology industry executives, investors, and strategists have valued the Red Herring 100 lists as an instrument for discovering and advocating the most promising private ventures from around the world. Red Herring editors were among the first to shine a light on companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype,, YouTube, Palo Alto Networks and eBay.

We are speechless... beyond delighted with our win at the Top 100 Global, this evening. It was on the heels of  our win as top US startup in June that we successfully completed our seed funding to the tune of one million dollars, so going on to win at a global level only reinforces our motivation and current winning streak,” says Eric Didier, OneKloud CEO and co-founder. “With the latest research* showing organizations that have done little or no cloud cost optimization are overspending by 70% or more, we know OneKloud is more relevant than ever. Managing cloud cost is a challenge that’s not getting any easier! We are determined to be the solution.” concludes Eric.
